Easter Sunday

It was a very busy Easter Sunday for the Oliver family. Unfortunately even though we have found a church home at FBCTW we did not attend Easter services. Our church had Easter at the Pavilion this year and it was a little more packed than we would have liked.

We did keep our annual tradition of having Easter brunch with Aunt Lynn at the downtown Aquarium. The food was yummy as always and the girls loved seeing all the fish. We had a great visit with Aunt Lynn and look forward to seeing her again very soon.

After brunch we headed to Mimi and Popi's house for some fun with them and the Evans family. The girls LOVED the tree swing in the front yard and of course swam in Popi's pool (hot tub turned down)! While the girls were swimming the Easter bunny hid eggs again for an egg hunt. Of course Addison & Reed got to most of the eggs first but were sweet and saved some for the babies.

We had a wonderful Easter and are most thankful for our family and dear friends!

3rd Annual C7 Egg Hunt

Every Saturday before Easter we drive out to Centerville to C7 for the annual egg hunt. We always have so much fun going out to the property. Again this year Addison was able to ride Roscoe P. Coltrane and Ashley was able to ride him for the first time. Ashley was not so sure about him but she did smile and enjoyed the ride.

Later that day while on a nature walk the Easter Bunny hid eggs all of the property. It was a made dash for the eggs once all the kids realized what was going on. Addison was so fast I could not get a picture of her. As for Ashley I got several pictures of the top of her head while she picked up eggs (remember this kid does not like the camera). Oh well!

We had a wonderful time with our friends and family and look forward to next year!

Big BFFs

Ok so this looks like Shayne is picking Ashley's nose at first glance...

this one looks like she is eating it! Too funny!

Addison World Traveler

Addison has been learning about France, Mexico, Japan and Africa these past weeks. Each week her class would study one particular country and learn how to say hello in their native language. To end the lesson the class took an airplane ride to all of the different countries. Before the airplane ride each student made a suitcase and passport! It turned out really cute and Addison loved it! Now she is asking to go on a real airplane. We might have to treat her to that soon.

Notice her initials in the right hand corner

I am waiting for her teacher to email pictures of the plane ride. I will post when I receive them.

God Moving In Our Lives

Jason and I are super excited to announce that we have found a church home! After years of looking we will most likely join First Baptist Church The Woodlands in the coming weeks. We have visited these past weeks and have felt God's presence and feel that this is a place where we can raise our girls. We are excited about the fellowship and God's plans for us with our new church family.

1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”

Happy 2nd Birthday Ashley!

Happy 2nd birthday to my sweet Ashley Grace!
You are so shy and yet at the same time you never meet a stranger after a few minutes.
You are the biggest goofball and wacky as can be!
You always ask, "Why?" and "Where's Addison?"
You love your sister with all your heart and you fight her with all your heart as well...love always wins in the end. Gotta love sibling rivarly.
You have the sweetest little voice espeically when you try to sing.
You have the best laugh and smile.
And...You my brown eyed girl.

Do you remember when we used to sing,
Sha la la la la la la la la la la te da!

Happy Birthday Lee-Lee! Daddy, Mommy and Addison love you!!

"The Babies" Birthday Party

"The Babies" (Ashley and Ruby Shayne) as Holly and I call them are only a week apart. Isn't that fun?! God knew what he was doing because they truly are little BFFs and light up when they see each other. After spending a week apart during spring break the girls screamed when they saw each other, hugged and laughed hysterically!

Back to the point of the blog...This past Saturday Ashley and Ruby Shayne had a co-birthday party at Gymboree. There was lots and lots of fun playing on the equipment and going on a Safari looking for lions and other animals. The kids loved dancing and running to the music. They also popped bubbles and played with the parachute which was a blast! It really was cute for all the little kids and we all had a great time!

Happy Birthday "Babies"! Here's to many more together :)
