Catch-up soon!

Well we are still here and I have to say this is the longest I have ever gone without blogging. Honestly I have just gotten lazy about it and it's the last thing on my plate. Sooooo that being sad next week I am off the entire week. I plan to blog each day (3-4 entries a day) and get us caught up. If you still check on us, come back soon to visit with All of the Olivers. We have a lot to share!!

Ashley's First Day at the ELA

Ashley is back at the ELA again this year. She is still in the three year old classroom with Ms. Teri. She absolutely loves her school and her friends. The ELA still starts later than me so Jason takes her every morning. Good Ashley and Daddy time!

Welcome to Kindergarten

Addison started Kindergarten on Monday! Where has the time gone...I cannot believe she is FINALLY able to come to school with me. She has been very excited about becoming a Smith Scottie just like Mommy. I have really loved having her with me. I able to see her a lot throughout the day and check up on her. Sadly she is having a hard time adjusting to Kindergarten. While I do think she has had some fun at school, I think she would rather be in my room with me. She is a pretty shy kid and hasn't made friends yet. Luckily she has the best Kindergarten teacher in the world my good friend, Mrs. O'Neal. She has been taking care of my baby and helping her make friends. I think in a couple of weeks she'll be loving it.

The week before school...

Always brings sweet memories of when both of my precious girls arrived home. Here are my thoughts (from our babysites) on the arrival of our girls.

Addison:
Meet Addison!!
Well she is super cute and a little peanut! Everything went wonderful today and could not have been more perfect. We met her after the case presentation and I swear my heart skipped a beat when she came into the room! She has strawberry blonde hair and bright blue eyes. We visited with her for a while and then we went to the Lewis' house (her foster family) to visit with her tonight. She is so laid back but very busy. She always has to be doing something and has to see what is going on. She has started to army crawl with one arm which is so cute. She has the best little belly laugh and is already a daddy's girl which Jason LOVES! We'll spend the entire day with her tomorrow and give Jason's dad the best birthday present ever...a grand-daughter!

Welcome Home!
Date: 08/26/2007
She's home!! She arrived about 2:30 today! It was so WONDERFUL!! GrandMary and Aunt Taylor were waiting to meet Addison. She had a great time with them and Aunt Taylor even feed her lunch. She took a great 2 1/2 hour nap and was ready to play and meet her new friends Reed and Cameron. We had lots and lots of vistors today. She got to meet her other Aunt Sabra and her other Grandma too. Then the whole Evans' crew :) the Bogan's and the Eads' came to meet her. We had a great day today. I have to work in the morning to help my kids transition to the sub and Jason will stay home. Then we'll be home together tomorrow afternoon:) Words cannot express how happy we are! Thank you Lord for bringing Addison home and making us a family!

Ashley:
Wonderful day!
It's has been a wonderful day with Ashley! She is a little peanut just like her big sister was when we first met her. She weighs about 12lbs and is just now fitting into 3-6 month clothing. She is very laid back and just goes with the flow. She loves to suck her two middle fingers when she needs to be soothed. She has the most beautiful dark brown eyes and brown hair. An absolutely precious addition to our family.
Addison has been ABSOLUTELY wonderful with her today. She was so excited to see her and has loved on her so sweetly. She has also been a huge help trying to feed Ashley and entertaining her as we change diapers.
Ashley arrives home at 10:30 Monday morning and we cannot wait!!!
We are so blessed and feel so grateful for our new daughter. Thank you for all of your prayers and love. We feel them!!

Welcome home Ashley!!
Ashley made her big debut at the Oliver house about 11:30 Monday morning! She got to fly down to Houston. The flight went well and she did not fuss at all. When she arrived she was hungry and tired from her big morning, so she ate and went right to sleep.
After her nap she got up and we took her all around the house to see her new home. She was so curious looking at everything. Addison was so excited that she was finally awake and she could play with her. When Ashley was in her jumperoo, Addison sat right beside her just talking to her. It was really sweet!!
The Eads family came over to meet our new addition that evening. We had a wonderful time visiting and playing with friends. Once our friends went home we gave Ashley a bath and she went to bed. She did so well!!
Ashley is really the sweetest, happiest baby you will ever meet. The transition went great and she slept through the night like this was always her home. We are so blessed to have such a happy, healthy baby girl!!

There will never be enough words to describe how I felt on both of these days. Only my Lord & Savior knows...He blessed us with two angels!

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

"Faith is the substance of things hoped for" Hebrews 11:1

Random Summer Fun Pictures

Father's Day!

A little girl needs Daddy
For many, many things:
Like holding her high off the ground
Where the sunlight sings!
Like being the deep music
That tells her all is right
When she awakens frantic with
The terrors of the night.

Like being the great mountain
That rises in her heart
And shows her how she might get home
When all else falls apart.

Like giving her the love
That is her sea and air,
So diving deep or soaring high
She'll always find him there.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!
We love you!
