Future Vet

For months Addison has said she wants to be a pet doctor when she grows up. About 6 weeks ago we had to take Hunter to the doctor and Addison got to meet Dr. Cole our wonderful vet. She is the best and nicest veterinarian. Not only does she take wonderful care of our Hunter but she treats us like family. Addison told Dr. Cole that she wanted to be a pet doctor when she grew up and Dr. Cole became very excited and gave Addison the VIP tour of clinic. She took Addison all throughout the clinic including the surgery room, x-ray room, kennel etc...explaining in detail what every room was used for. Addison was beaming from ear to ear when she was done with the tour. So naturally when it came time to ask her what she wanted for Christmas she said a pet hospital. Luckily Mimi got her exactly what she wanted!!

Merry Christmas!

Letter from Santa

Both girls received a letter from Santa this week! Addison was so excited she could hardly contain herself. The funny thing about the letters is that I don't know who sent them. Thanks Santa! You made my girls day!

Painting for Daddy

Jason's birthday was on the 18th and Addison painted a shark for him at Potteryland.
She was very proud of herself and did a wonderful job!

Tada! Happy Birthday Daddy!

My Little Sous-Chef

Addison has been a great little sous-chef helping me with all of our holiday baking. Tonight we made Grandmother Taylor's chocolate chip pie! Yummy and we cannot wait to eat it!!

I think she enjoyed eating the batter as much as she did making it.

Wordless Wednesday

In pj's ready to look at lights!

Wonderful feeling...

Today as Addison and Ashley were playing in their rooms I over heard Addison tell Ashley a story. They were looking at pictures in a photo album of Addison's "gotcha weekend", which was the first weekend we met our sassy peanut. We have looked at these pictures thousands of times and I have told her the story about how God planned on us being a family. Today she kind of retold that story to Ashley and said, "This was the first time Daddy and Mommy were happy". I was so tickled to hear her say that and I absolutely love that she knows how much happiness and joy she brought to our lives. What a wonderful feeling!

Gingerbread House Workshop

Today the girls and I went to Randalls' grocery store for a gingerbread house workshop. When we arrived they had everything set up for us so all we had to do was decorate the house. Addison loved it and decorated most of the house by herself with a little help from Ashley. I am so proud of my little pastry chef! It was a lot of fun!
