Dinner and Ducks

Last night due to the awesome fall like temperatures we are having, we decided to pack up our dinner and go spend the evening at Northshore Park. We had a wonderful time eating dinner at the picnic table, feeding the ducks and playing around the park. Addison was even brave enough to let the ducks take the bread out of her hands!! The girls had so much fun playing and Addison asked if we could have dinner there every night! Probably not but we are thinking once a week for some more great family time. Afterwards we went to Coldstone Creamery for some yummy ice cream. What a great evening we had and I feel so blessed!

Welcome Fall

This morning we received our first glimpse of Fall. It was an amazing 56 degrees outside!!
I cannot wait for more cooler temperatures. Happy Fall!!

I love fall! Fall is exciting.
It's apples and cider.
It's an airborne spider.
It's pumpkins in bins.
It’s when football begins!
It's wind blowing leaves
and a chilly breeze.
It's jackets abound
It's a crisp dry sound.
It's green leaves turning
And the smell of them burning.
It's clouds in the sky.
It's fall. That's why...
I love fall.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11

A powerful scripture that has lifted up Jason and I through a lot of uncertain times. I am so thankful for my Lord and Savior and what he provides for my family. Several big prayers were answered this week for us and we are most grateful! Thank you Jesus! We love you!

B is for Bunny

More artwork from my budding little artist. Last week at school Addison was learning about the letter B. So naturally in the art center she drew a picture that started with the letter B. So proud of her!! Her bunny and letter B are beautiful!!

Texas Tech Homecoming

If you did not know by now...we are RED RAIDERS! Jason and I have great love for our Alma Mater, Texas Tech University, and we are passing on the love to our daughters as well. Last year we went as a family to Texas Tech Homecoming and I must say we had an absolute wonderful time catching up with old college friends, attending the homecoming parade and showing Addison the true Red Raider spirit. She had a more fun that words can possibly describe and fell in love with our Red Raiders. Addison had so much fun in fact at the game that night when it was 36 degrees outside and we were frozen popsicles, she did not want to leave! Here are some pictures of the fun last year.

The Cannons!

Goin' Band from Raiderland!

Family pic (too cold for Ashley...she was with Jason's uncle at home)

Pirate stickers for Leach :(

Addison and Julie (Jason's aunt)

After our wonderful trip last year we decided that Homecoming would be an annual family trip. We are super excited and Addison has been practicing the fight song for the game. We are so proud of our Little Red Raider and cannot wait till November and Homecoming weekend!

TMT recap

Saturday was the Texas Music Throwdown and we had an awesome time. Even though the turn out was not was we expected we still raised a lot of money for Heroes on the Water and received lots of compliments from Bud Light and all of the bands. I was lucky enough to spend most of the day with Cory Morrow and his band!! It was my job to shuttle them back and forth to the hotel and keep them entertained until show time. What a great group of guys and I must say I was a little star struck, especially when one of the guys pointed to me and waved during the concert. My friend Christy and I screamed like teenage girls! It was pretty funny!
