Two Words

About a week ago I was shredding a bunch of documents when I came across my medical file. I asked for copy of it after our IVF failed and we were finished with infertility treatments. As I started to shred this file I came across two words written and underlined in my file: Uterine Synechiae. Never heard of it? Neither have I...No one ever mentioned this to me during treatments but this was my diagnosis. Finally! An answer to why we could not get pregnant. It does not change a thing we would do differently, but it does explain A LOT.

Uterine Synechiae are intrauterine adhesions. They may involve small focal areas of endometrium, or they can be so extensive that they obliterate the entire endometrial cavity. Uterine Synechiae can present with the symptom of primary or secondary infertility due to interference with embryo implantation.

So there you have it...An answer! Like I said before it does not change a single thing we would have done differently, just nice to have an explanation. God had a plan for us, we followed it and received two beautiful baby girls!
